Who Have We Helped?
People like me...people like you...people you love...people you've never met.
Please
take a moment to read about how your donations of money and time can change lives.
Matt and Cheryl walked into C3 one afternoon looking for help with Matt's VA benefits. While meeting
with our Vet Rep, he mentioned that his family was homeless. They were staying in a motel and almost at the end of the small severance
package he received when he was "downsized" from his computer job. In two days they would be living on the streets with their
daughter.
When they left C3 that day they had food and supplies from the food bank and the wheels had been set in motion to help Matt
with his benefits. Thanks to information Cheryl gave to her C3 Inlife counselor about her job skills, we were able to introduce Cheryl to
an elderly C3 Member who needed daily assistance to continue living in her home. This elderly Member had a two-bedroom
apartment attached to her home that she offered in exchange for meal preparation, cleaning, and Matt's handyman talents.
Matt has recently found a new job in IT and is also the local "computer wizard" in their neighborhood. Cheryl continues to care
for their elderly friend with their daughters assistance. Their daughter enjoys working with the elderly and is considering training to be
a Certified Nursing Assistant in C3's planned home health care program.
Cold Weather Care for the Homeless
Cold Weather Care would like to thank you
for the time, energy, and space which allowed us to remain open on the weekends.
In the short amount of time
you spent with our guests you were able to touch and work with many of them in different ways.
We would like to let you know that we truly appreciate everything you have given to the CWC Project.
Thank you,
Allison F., CWC

This is a letter to let you good folks at C3 know how much we have been helped by you.
My 8-year-old daughter and I were in a bad place. On Jan 11th I was put on Medical leave from my job because I had
cancer and my type was a viral type. Because my job dealt with the public I was on Medical Leave without pay and no insurance of any kind.
A good friend directed me to C3 and C3 saved us in many ways.
You gave me the guidance to get food stamps.
Than you gave us the guidance to go apply for Medicaid which I did on a Tuesday, and with C3’s knowledge of the system, got approved on Thursday.
I saw a real Doctor on Friday had the results of the cancer by the next Tuesday.
I had surgery on my nose and the cancer was found in time to avoid Chemo. Or Radiation treatment!!
Then with your guidance I got approved for TANF for my daughter and me.
I am also waiting for SS-d to kick in thanks to your advice.
I came in broke, sick with cancer, no insurance, and an 8 year old to take care of.
She has food, shelter, clothes, and a healthy Dad thanks to C3 and all the good people who helped us.
